Carve out a little ME TIME
In today's fast paced world, everyone is running and chasing a deadline. Some days are so bad that you don’t even get enough time to have a proper meal. Unless you take some time-off to take a step back from the rush, you can feel overwhelmed. In today's constantly connected world, carving out a little ‘Time for YOU’ is an opportunity to recharge and empower yourself to beat stress while enjoying many physical and psychological benefits.
Busy working people often suffer from a guilty conscience when they take time out for themselves. Remember that everyone, including you, deserves breaks to beat stress and enjoy life to the fullest. It's not an indulgence, it's a necessity to take care of you and recharge your battery to get ready for another day, which will certainly be full of energy and enthusiasm.

Your 'ME' time won't appear magically out of thin air; you will have to set a daily intention to find the time which is only and only yours, even if it's 10-15 minutes. It's best to chalk out your 'ME' time right in the morning as that would give you entire day to decide when is the right time to take a break. Planning a personal goal like will help you to have your own slice of life in next 24 hours. You should consciously make an effort to choose something that recharges your batteries in a meaningful way.
Intentionally choose an activity that you enjoy doing. Relax while enjoying a cup of your favorite beverage or listening to that favorite song. Take your pick from gardening, taking a walk amidst nature, reading your favorite author's recent novel, indulging in a pampering spa session, or taking a nice bath.
However, it doesn't necessarily mean that 'ME' time has to be a solitary activity. You may even select group activities like going on a walk in the neighborhood with friends, playing a game or volunteering for some activities at children's home if that gives you joy and a sense of fulfillment.
Your everyday life is peppered with career, family, work and relationships. Unless you step back and re-energize your body, mind and soul, you are bound to end up stressed and burned out, not to mention being affected by several diseases like high blood pressure, depression and heart diseases. So, stop being disapproving about yourself, go ahead and enjoy your quality 'ME' time.
